3on

Fractional leadership · Stockholm

Senior ownership when the company needs movement now — not a hire six months from now.

3on steps in when a CEO, marketing lead or management team needs an experienced person who can create direction, prioritise vendors and projects and help move the work forward. The mandate can be fractional technology leadership, fractional marketing leadership, senior digital advisory or programme recovery.

Start with the real problem

You may not need another agency. You may need someone to own the question.

Many small and mid-sized companies already have vendors, systems and activity. The problem is that no one connects the whole. The managed IT provider owns operations, the web agency owns the site, the marketing agency owns campaigns and internal people try to connect everything alongside their day jobs.

That often leads to the wrong next purchase. The company commissions another website, AI project or campaign when the real need is senior buyer capability and clear ownership. 3on can work in that gap: understand the business, create a prioritised plan, direct the right specialists and deliver parts directly where our capabilities fit.

The model is especially relevant to owner-led and management-led Stockholm companies that have grown beyond ad-hoc digital decisions but do not yet need a complete internal technology and marketing leadership structure.

Bring in senior capacity

Ownership when you need it. No premature full-time hire.

For owner-led and mid-sized companies that need an experienced digital counterpart, temporary leadership or someone who can both prioritise and deliver.

Fixed first step

Digital leadership check · 10 working days

For leadership teams that feel web, systems, AI, vendors or marketing have become difficult to control. We map the current situation and prioritise the decisions that matter first.

Best when
When you are not sure whether the next move is a project, a new vendor or an ongoing mandate.
Expected outcome
Current-state view, key risks, five priority decisions and a practical 90-day plan.

Ongoing technology leadership

Fractional CTO / External IT lead

A recurring mandate for companies that need a senior technology counterpart without a full-time executive hire. The role can connect systems, vendors, security foundations, roadmap and digital programmes.

Best when
When no one owns the digital whole or the CEO has become the accidental IT manager.
Expected outcome
Clear priorities, stronger buyer capability, fewer unresolved technical decisions and one accountable route forward.

Ongoing marketing leadership

Fractional CMO / Growth lead

Senior leadership when web, SEO, content, campaigns, measurement and vendors need to become one coherent demand system. The focus is what to prioritise, who owns each part and how progress is measured.

Best when
When there is plenty of marketing activity but not enough direction, ownership or delivery power.
Expected outcome
A 90-day plan, clear backlog, stronger sales and marketing alignment and concrete improvements to web and demand generation.

Senior intervention

Project Rescue / Second Opinion

For an important web, CRM, AI or systems initiative that has stalled, become expensive or lost direction. We enter as an independent senior party and help decide what should be saved, changed or stopped.

Best when
When vendors disagree, scope keeps growing or leadership no longer feels confident about the next decision.
Expected outcome
Independent assessment, decision points, risk list and a realistic route to bring the programme back under control.

Who this is for

Built for companies that need more ownership than another specialist hour.

This works best when several issues connect and someone must move between leadership and delivery. We are not a staffing marketplace and do not try to fill every possible executive role.

Good fit

  • Owner-led or management-led companies with roughly 5–100 people
  • Leadership lacks a senior digital counterpart
  • Several agencies or technology vendors need one set of priorities
  • Web, systems, AI or marketing materially affect sales or efficiency
  • You want to start part-time or with a clearly limited mandate

Another setup fits better

  • You need pure helpdesk or 24/7 managed operations
  • The role requires a full-time executive with a large formal team from day one
  • You want to outsource all business decisions to an external party
  • The need is only specialist PR, legal advice or a very narrow technical domain

Working model

Senior capacity without vague consulting dependency.

01

Understand the situation

We start with business goals, current initiatives, vendors, systems and the decisions that have stalled. The goal is to separate symptoms from the underlying problem quickly.

02

Define the mandate

We agree what 3on owns, what stays internal and what other vendors are responsible for. Clear boundaries matter more than an impressive title.

03

Drive and leave a trail

Decisions, roadmap, backlog and delivery are documented so the company keeps control. The goal is stronger internal capacity and structure, not dependency on one external person.

3on

Breadth is useful only when the boundaries stay clear.

3on has spent years working where web, technology, systems, marketing, SEO, security and now AI overlap. That makes it easier to spot problems that fall between traditional vendors. At the same time, no individual should pretend to be expert in everything. When a mandate needs deep infrastructure, legal, PR or media-buying expertise, we prefer to bring in the right specialist and keep ownership of the whole clear.

FAQ

Questions about fractional senior capacity.

What does fractional senior capacity mean?

You buy a defined responsibility or recurring senior capability without hiring a full-time role. It may be a few advisory hours each month, one fixed day per week or a more intensive interim programme mandate.

Do we need to know whether we need a CTO or CMO?

No. If the problem sits between technology, web, marketing and organisation, a short leadership review can be more useful than choosing a title first. The mandate should follow the decisions and outcomes required.

Can 3on work with our existing agencies and IT providers?

Yes. A common part of the value is strengthening the buyer side, aligning requirements and priorities and following up so existing suppliers work toward the same business goals.

Can you advise and also deliver?

Yes, within 3on’s areas. We can move from prioritisation into web, integration, automation, SEO or AI implementation. When another specialist is a better fit, that boundary should be explicit.

Is this only for Stockholm companies?

Stockholm is the primary market and allows on-site work when useful. Many parts of the mandate also work well remotely for companies elsewhere in Sweden or internationally.

The next 90 days

Which ownership is missing in your company right now?

Describe the company, the questions falling between teams and what needs to change in the next 90 days. We can suggest a focused first step, an ongoing fractional mandate or tell you if another type of specialist is a better fit.
